5. Essay: Women Empowerment (250 words)

Women empowerment means giving women equal rights, opportunities and freedom in all fields of life. In ancient times, women enjoyed a respected position in society, but gradually they became victims of discrimination, illiteracy and social evils. Today, empowering women has become essential for the progress of a nation.

Education is the most powerful tool for women empowerment. An educated woman not only builds her own future but also shapes the future of her family and society. Educated women are more confident, independent and capable of taking important decisions. Economic independence is another important factor. When women earn and contribute financially, they gain respect and self-confidence.

Women empowerment also ensures equality in employment, health care and politics. Today, women are working as teachers, doctors, engineers, pilots and even soldiers. Government schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and reservation for women have helped improve their condition.

However, problems like domestic violence, child marriage and gender discrimination still exist. Society must change its mindset and treat men and women equally. Empowering women does not mean dominating men; it means creating a balanced and progressive society.
